correction

I am posting an update to my 2009-2010 blog.

Education locally is in a difficult period that has affected my school as well. It has broken my heart to lose 4 kids this year. These students have departed for a variety of reasons, which grow out of the fact that life often requires plans to change. In each case, I miss the child and wish that he/she could have stayed. The bright side of all of this is that I have found that I have many parents who appreciate and support me.

This year, I have had to work hard to accodomodate the needs of my younger kindergarteners. So far, they have been great readers. Because they have started young, motor skills are not as highly developed, slowing down the development of their writing skills. For all (myself included) who are involved in education locally, I am praying for the arrival of more positive circumstances.

Happy Birthday Miss Abby Doddle Bee

Today, January 22 is my granddaughter Abby's 2nd birthday. We had called and sang to her already this morning, but still I am looking forward to talking to her via skype. Can't wait to see her on her birthday. Web cams are really wonderful for talking and seeing your loved ones right then and there. Today also we have been blessed with 4 inches of snow. I have always loved snow. When I was young back in the Philippines, I have always wanted to look at pictures from everywhere which have lots of snow.
Thank you Lord for blessing us with snow on my granddaughter's "terrific 2's" birthday.
